Description:

This was the Suwannee River Area Council's original council shoulder patch, which replaced the red and white community strips that had been in use up until the 1970s. The National Council announced the change to council shoulder patches in 1972. This initial design was short-lived because it did not conform to the National Council's guidelines for the shape and size of the new council shoulder patches.
